Players of the Online Game Stand to Win Goodies from In-game and Online Events

IRVINE, Calif. - Oct. 20, 2010
Ntreev USA, Inc., developer and publisher of several popular free-to-play games, today announced Halloween-themed events for its casual online multiplayer game, Pangya. Starting Oct. 20, players will be able to participate in two costume events on the official forums, as well as an in-game hunt for treats that can be exchanged for special Halloween boxes full of goodies.

“Halloween unleashes the role-play gamer in all of us, and that is why it is our favorite holiday,” said Chris Lee, CEO of Ntreev USA. “The interactive Halloween events we are hosting for Pangya players will give us the chance to enjoy our fans’ creativity and give away some great prizes!”

Players can visit the official forums to participate in a Halloween Design Contest and a Halloween Costume Contest. For the Design Contest, players are encouraged to create both a top and bottom for a spooky Halloween costume using the Self Design feature. The second costume contest will give players the chance to show off a picture of the Halloween costume they plan to wear this year for prizes. To participate, players submit a picture of themselves in their costume while holding a piece of paper with their in-game name written on it. Both contests can be entered by submitting screenshots or pictures on the appropriate forum thread. Submissions can be made Oct. 20 up until Oct. 31.

To keep the pumpkin rolling, Ntreev is also hosting an in-game Halloween Hunt. Candy boxes have been hidden throughout the island and can be collected and returned to Cadie’s Cauldron for Halloween Boxes chock-full of special items. Ntreev will also be rewarding players with Skull and Pumpkin Comets for logging on to Pangya during the Halloween season. The Halloween Hunt and log-in events are Oct. 20 through Nov. 3.

Beach Volleyball Online Starts Closed Beta Testing on April 15th

Omniverse Games will begin Closed Beta testing its 3D Sports MMO “Beach Volleyball Online” in advance of a scheduled May release. Fans from around the globe will get their first look at this highly anticipated virtual world.

Portsmouth, NH April 14, 2010 – Omniverse Games, together with developer Radiance Digital Entertainment, has announced the start of a closed beta testing period for Beach Volleyball Online (www.bvogame.com). This free-to-play sports oriented virtual world offers something for all types of massively multiplayer online (MMO) gamers.

“Beach Volleyball Online combines the action, playability, and precision of console games with the character development, exploration, and community aspects usually associated with MMOs” explains Jonathan Seidenfeld, CEO of Omniverse Games. Advanced artificial intelligence together with the outstanding in-game graphics create a sense of immersion and realism not often encountered among free-to-play MMOs.

Set in a lush beachside environment, Beach Volleyball Online is an exquisite 3D world that incorporates the intense competition and tactics of beach volleyball while providing players with numerous activities, areas to explore, and a friendly community of players from all over the globe. Players can customize their avatars in thousands of ways while developing their characters and making new friends.

Beach Volleyball Online is one of the few true sports MMOs available today. It features a large persistent world that allows for character development – players can improve their skills and increase attributes by gaining experience both on and off the volleyball court. Beach Volleyball Online also incorporates many elements of traditional MMO gameplay such as classes, crafting, level progression, and the ability to gain new skills.

The staff at developer Radiance Digital Entertainment, have a history working in the console sports area, including CEO Monte Singman, who was a lead programmer for the original John Madden Football published by Electronic Arts. Radiance also has a deep knowledge of Asian MMOs, and by combining these two strengths were able to create Beach Volleyball Online, which has been over three years in development.

Keys to enter the Closed Beta test are available now from the official Beach Volleyball Online website at http://www.bvogame.com .

The free-to-play EA SPORTS FIFA videogame will call on football fans and gamers to help shape features during closed beta testing prior to its English language European open beta release in June 2010.

“Listening to and engaging football fans has been one of the driving forces behind the success of our FIFA franchise and now we are inviting European football fans–in mass numbers and earlier than we ever have before–to help us develop a new football game,” said Executive Producer Kaz Makita. “Fans will determine the features that matter most, and at the end of this process, our goal is to deliver a game for fans looking for a quick football fix at home or at work.”

Beginning February 3, football fans across Europe are invited to register to participate in the closed beta development and testing of FIFA Online by visiting http://fifa-online.easports.com. EA SPORTS FIFA Online will be released around the world in stages. The English language version will be available to all football fans in June, 2010. Over the next 12 to 24 months FIFA Online will launch in other languages across Europe and then in North America. Non-English speaking football fans will also be able to participate in the development process of these games.

EA SPORTS FIFA Online will offer an authentic football experience with 30 licensed leagues, 500 clubs and more than 15,000 players. At the second stage of closed beta, the game will feature a League Mode that enables fans to manage and compete as their favorite football club, and the ability to play online matches. FIFA Online will enable football fans and gamers to build their favorite club into their dream team by developing or acquiring players, upgrading skills, and getting unique apparel by earning in-game currency to acquire items or through micro-transactions. FreeStyle: This Year’s Last Update To Be Launched On December 16

Public Mode Enables Users to Watch Tournaments and League Matches

Replay Mode Makes Mastering Various Tactics Easier

Seoul, December 11 - Online Game Portal Site GameKiss announced this year’s last massive system update for FreeStyle Street Basketball Game which will be launched on December 16. This system update features the “public mode” and “replay mode” while another update with a new character ‘Sachi’, 51 new items and 12 skill motions has already been announced.

For an online sports free download game, the most distinct system update would be the public mode which enables anyone accessing the game to watch a match by simply pressing the mode’s button.

Many users who wanted to watch important tournaments have complained about the lack of the public mode. Some users recorded game playing with their own recording program and uploaded their clips on YouTube. Other users then could see the matches. FreeStyle users will now be able to watch major matches between well-known clubs or teams or a dramatic come-from-behind victory in real time.

The replay mode, newly added after many FreeStyle users’ requests, would be essential for gamers who aim to improve their performance through analyzing previous games and team tactics. Gamers can save their game-play into a replay file. By watching past matches, gamers can understand opponents’ tactics and develop their own play patterns, boosting their game skills.

“Thanks to the pubic mode, users from all over the world will be able to watch all sorts of tournaments and league matches in real time. I’m very looking forward to that. The replay mode, too, will hopefully help users to master teamwork and various tactics,” said RomaN, Chief GM of FreeStyle Street Basketball Online Game.

“As this is a massive patch as the year 2009’s last update, I hope it is a big Christmas present to our users.”

Registration, download and playing of Freestyle Street Basketball are provided worldwide, and can be enjoyed free of charge. More details can be found on the official website: http://freestyle.gamekiss.com.

Outspark has announced the commercial release of their free to play massive multiplayer snowboarding game: Project Powder.

I’ve been playing this one off and on since the early beta and it’s a LOT of fun! There are three game modes available… a racing mode allowing you to go head to head or team up with others, a battle mode where you compete by pulling off the best tricks and collecting the right items and a coin mode where you battle it out to collect the most coins.

I am constantly amazed at the level of detail and entertainment value presented in the latest free to play pc games. Project Powder is a great example of this. Yeah, you could decide to pay micro-transactions to get more stuff at a faster pace, but you could play this one without paying a dime and have a blast for months to come.
