Free Original NES Games on your PC in your Browser
Wednesday, August 1st, 2007Back in the day, I spent so much time and money on original NES games. The games were fun, addicting, and like nothing we had seen before. As time moved on, those games were sold and I moved on to bigger and better systems.
There’s something about going back and playing many of the NES classics, a nostalgia that only items from the 80s can bring out. From all of the original Super Mario, Mega Man, Castlevania, and Legend of Zelda games to Contra, Kid Icarus, Metal Gear, and so many more.
Now, there’s a site - vNES - that now lets you play over 599 original NES games. The site uses a Java emulator allowing you to play the games directly in your web browser.
Once you arrive at the site, it’s as simple as clicking the letter that the game starts with. Games are in alphabetical order. Click the game’s name and you’re in your instant time machine back to simpler times…
If you really want to get into the NES feeling, they link off to a site where you can get a USB adapter to use original NES controllers with your PC.
Free original NES games you can play right in your browser… now that’s cool!
